Pride Of The Prairie

Nezperce Prairie Grass Growers Association was started in 1974. The organization brought together Kentucky bluegrass growers in a five county area. Today, parts of Latah, Nez Perce, Idaho, Lewis and Clearwater counties make up the growing area.
The climate, moisture and soil conditions of the north central area of Idaho is ideal for the growing of Kentucky bluegrass. Many acres of land in the five county area are more suited to grass growing than other grain type crops.

What is the purpose of NPGGA?
To foster cooperation between grass seed producers, processors, and agencies of government.
To sponsor scientific research that promotes the increased production of grass seed.
To promote goodwill between the grass industry and the public by providing information and education about the grass seed industry.
To monitor the activities of members of the NPGGA to promote sound agriculture practices in raising of grass seed.
